There are a total of 11090 baptisms at Andover up to the end of February 1746 (I haven't checked the next register though to see if there are March baptisms prior to Lady's Day 1747). This was an interesting fiche to transcribe. Packed with information in six rows by 14 pages wide, the register pages filled practically the entire fiche. This is the point that I wanted to reach at Andover with respect to the Blake families there (and the Carter, Spring, Drew and a few others) before I started to transcribe the wills from Kew. I also want to complete the burials (first page done and I am now at 6927 burials at St Marys Andover by the end of December 1714) up to 1746 and the marriages.
We were talking (my husband and I) about going to Salt Lake City again. I would be able to look at some of the Hampshire wills there that interest me. When we make a trip to England and Europe once again I do not really want to spend my time in the County Record Offices if I can avoid it. I want to look around especially at the Churches that my families attended but also some of the other historic sites. I really want to see Bury Hill at Upper Clatford because I have heard so much about it from my grandfather.
I shall begin now to isolate the films that I particularly want to look at in Salt Lake City. Last time I had nearly 200 films that I wanted to look at and did manage to look at about 3/4 of them. This time my requirements are more centered on particular lines but I expect I will still have a couple of hundred films that interest me. I also would like to spend more time with the books in the British section. I barely had time to shelf read some of the counties and there was a lot of material there that quite interested me.

The Carter family are particularly interesting because of the marriage of Thomas Blake and Ann Carter at Penton Mewsey. I do not know if this is my Thomas yet. Marrying at Penton Mewsey is a mystery but again there are place names associated with some of the Carter records although usually they were at Charleton.
