Will of George Blake, Grocer of Bath, Somerset - The National Archives PROB 11/1413/289, probated 7 Sep 1804

George Blake grocer of Bath, Somerset is testator.

Looking at the Freereg site at baptisms, marriages and burials I found the following.

There is a marriage 10 Nov 1776 between George Blake and Ann Morley (bride is of Batheaston) and they were married at St Peter and Paul, Bath.

Checking baptisms from 1776 to 1796 there were 16 in total but none for this couple at Bath. Only one other Blake family at St Peter and Paul. John son of John and Susanna Blake baptized 24 Jun 1790. There is a John Blake and Susanna Hanger married 23 Aug 1789 at St Peter and St Paul, Bath.

There are 108 burials at Bath in this dataset. The testator is possibly buried 1 Oct 1802 at St James, Bath. There is a burial for Ann Blake 9 Jan 1820 at St James Bath and she is listed as 80 years of age (year of birth circa 1740). She lived on Walcot Street.

The Blake family can be found on Walcot Street in later censuses. This will be worth pursuing but will check and see if any other wills come up on the Blake family at Bath.
