His son Thomas, also living in Kemerton on the 1841 census, is also a cordwainer (born in Gloucestershire) with wife Mary (30 years, not born in Gloucestershire) and Moses Beale 10 years of age (not born in Gloucestershire), Thomas is 35 years of age (birth circa 1806). John is on page 4 and Thomas on page 6 of the census. On the 1851 census at Kemerton, Thomas is listed as 49 years of age (born circa 1802), a cordwainer born at Kemerton, Mary, his wife, is listed as 47 years of age, and born Hampton Worcesterwhire, Moses Beale, his nephew, is 21 years, a cordwainer and born at Bath, Somerset.
On the 1861 census, Mary is a widow. She is 59 years of age, born at Hampton, Worcestershire circa 1802 and living in Kemerton. Living with Mary is her sister Elizabeth Targett 61 years of age, widowed, born at Hampton Worcestershire.
On the 1871 census, living with Mary, still widowed, is her brother William Blake, 71 years of age (born circa 1800 at Hampton, Worcestershire) and a widower. There is a visitor Mary Ann Smith, 11 years of age born at Kemerton. On the 1861 census there is a Smith family next door with a daughter Mary Ann 1 year of age. The mother of Mary Ann, Ann, was born at Eckington Worcestershire.
On the 1851 Census living at Marston Green, Evesham, Saint Lawrence is William Blake, married 53 years of age, born at Hampton, Worcestershire and married to Maria 54 years of age also born at Hampton. William was a maltster, journeyman.
Also on the 1851 Census living at Great and Little Hampton with the Thomas Charles family (Carpenter) is William Blake, Visitor, 77 years of age, born at Hampton, Worcestershire (birth circa 1774).

This family does appear to be a stray in Gloucestershire. Kemerton is only seven miles from Great Hampton, Worcestershire. There are marriages in Evesham RD – 30 in total – right up to the mid 1960s.

9 of good and lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid unto the said Lord
10 Bishop or his Successors or to his or their certain Attorneys Executors Admins-
11 trators or Assigns To which Payment well and truly to be made We oblige ourselves
12 and each of us by himself in and for the whole our and
13 each of our Heirs Executors and Administrators firmly by
14 these Presents Sealed with our Seals dated the twentieth day of

23 Chattles and Credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to the Hands
24 Possession or Knowledge of him the said Thomas Blake
25 or into the Hands and Possession of any Person or Persons for
26 him and the same so made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the Registry
27 of the Consistory Court of Gloucester at or before the
28 last day of September next ensuing and the same Goods
29 Chattles and Credits and all other the Goods Chattles and Credits of the said deceased
30 at the time of his death which at anytime after shall come to the hands or Possession
31 of the said Thomas Blake or into the hands
32 and Possession of any other Person or Persons for him do well and truly administer
33 according to Law And further do make or cause to be made a true and just Accompt
34 of his said Administration at or before the last day of April 1845
35 and all the Rest and Residue of the said Goods Chattles and Credits which shall be
36 found remaining upon the said Administrators Accompts the same being first
37 examined and allowed of by the Judge or Judges for the time being of the said
38 Court shall deliver and pay unto such Person or Persons respectively as the said
39 Judge or Judges by his or their Decree or Sentence pursuant to the true Intent and
40 Meaning of a late Act of Parliament made in the two and twentieth and three and
41 twentieth Years of the Reign of our late Sovereign Lord King Charles the Second
42 entituled an Act for the better settling of Intestates Estates which limit and appoint
43 And if it shall hereafter appear that any last Will and Testament was made by the
44 said deceased and the Executor or Executors therein named do exhibit the same into
45 the said Court making Request to have it allowed and approved accordingly if the
46 said Thomas Blake
47 above bounden being thereunto required do render and deliver the said Letter of
48 Administration Approbation of such Testament being first had and made in the
49 said Court then this Obligation to be void or else to remain in full Force and Virtue.
