The article on the Blake family of England/Ireland is complete and off to the publisher for printing in the next journal or whenever he is ready to print it. We enjoyed writing it and the content is very good in terms of looking at the Blake family in England/Ireland. Amazing to learn so much from only 27 samples and how much more could be learned with more samples. Hopefully this will help to advertise the project. It would be quite fascinating to discover if the family lore about the Wiltshire/Hampshire/Somerset/Devon families is correct for the Blake family - that they are descended from the common ancestor who lived near Calne Wiltshire in the 1200s.
I also have continued with the transcription of the Andover Parish Registers and I am up to 1660 now. I haven't learned anything new about my families there but perhaps I may find the marriage of John Blake and Elizabeth
who are parents of Thomas baptized 21 February 1685 at Andover. Finding their marriage would be most helpful. Looking at the wills in this time frame may also be helpful and that is a project that I am continually working away at.
Today I shall carry on with the transcription of the Register plus I need to do the Research Interests for the Anglo Celtic Roots journal (the same journal that the Blake DNA article will appear in). I regularly do the Research Interests.
