Joséph Barthelème Aimé Dumoulin married Marie Dionne Rollande Clément 19 Jan 1931 at Notre Dame Basilica in Ottawa ON. Aimé was born 26 Dec 1908 and baptized 7 Jan 1909 at Notre Dame Basilica in Montréal (he is listed with his family Maxime and Rosalie Dumoulin on the 1911 census taken at Montebello, Labelle). He was the son of Maxime Dumoulin and Rosalie Larente dite Vinette. Maxime and Rosalie were married 4 Jul 1904 at Montébello Québec. Maxime was baptized 20 Apr 1884 at Grenville. The parents of Maxime Dumoulin were identified in the marriage lines as Joseph Dumoulin and Rosalie Renaud who were themselves married 30 Jan 1882 at St Philippe d'Argenteuil.Maxime can be found at the census in 1891with his parents Joseph Dumoulin and Rosalie and again in 1901.

The parents of Joseph are thus identified as Pascal Dumoulin and Zoe Saraisin. The marriage of Paschal Dumoulin and Zoé Sarrazin was held 27 Oct 1834 at St Benoit. The 1851 Census lists Paschal Dumoulin, Zoe Sarrasin and their childrenat that time and right next door is a Renaud family although the family of Rosalie. The 1861 census has his name written as Levers although his wife is correct and we find Joseph as a child of 4 which fits with the details for Joseph. He was born 18 Jul 1857 at Ste Adèle Terrebonne and on the census they are at Terrebonne still.

Need to work on the transcriptions but again the parents of Michel Dumoulin are named as Michel Démoulin and Josette Blais.
The marriage of Michel and Josette took place 12 Feb 1753 at Ste Geneviève (Pierrefonds) and this marriage is in Tanguay. The parents of Michel are identified as Michel Desmoulins and Judith Bigras and although he does not list the date of their marriage it was 15 Feb 1729 at Point Claire. The parents of Michel are identified as Jacques Desmoulins and Marguerite Féray (native to Le Havre, France). Hence Michel (born in France) and married to Judith Bigras is the emigrant and Generation 1.
Michel married to Josette Blais is Generation 2. Two children of Michel and Josette are ancestors of the present generation. Michel married to Josette Amèsse is Generation 3. Suzanne married to Antoine Demers 9 Feb 1777 at St Martin is Generation 3.
Paschal married to Zoé Sarrazin is Generation 4.
Joseph married to Rosalie Renaud is Generation 5.
Maxime married to Rosalie Larente dite Vinette is Generation 6.
Joséph Barthelème Aimé Dumoulin married to Marie Dionne Rollande Clément is Generation 7.
Down to the present generation is the son of Aimé, the grandaughter of Aimé and the great grandson of Aimé making Generation 8, 9, and 10.

Brunet family
Hélèna Brunet married Augustin Lauzon 17 Sep 1889 at Notre Dame de la Salette, Papineau. She was baptized 16 Jul 1864 at Ste Adèle, Terrebonne the daughter of Jean Baptiste Brunet and Olive (Olivine) Constantineau. Another long puzzle ensued with this family. I found their marriage 24 Jan 1859 at Ste Adèle and the christening of Jean Baptiste Brunet 19 Dec 1836 at Ste Scholastique, Deux-Montagnes.
My difficulties with the Constantineau family I will share with my blog in the future as I work my way back to the next generation.
Jean Baptiste Brunet baptized 19 Dec 1836 was the son of Jean Baptiste Brunet and Louise Brunet dite Lelang. At this point I had two Brunet lines to trace and I was initially unsure about dit names. Were they a different name? were they a locational name? were they related? As I worked my way back I was to learn more about dit names which was very helpful. This was my first real foray into dit names at the time.
Looking at Jean Baptiste Brunet and he was baptized 24 May 1815 at St Benoit the son of François Brunet and Marie Angélique Bolne who themselves were married 9 Feb 1805 at Ste Geneviève (Pierrefonds). I decided to check Tanguay to see what sort of answers he had for the Brunet family. He does not have the marriage of François and Marie Angélique. Looking at the marriage lines for this couple I found that the parents of François were Michel Brunet and Geneviève Latour who were married 8 Feb 1773 at Ste Geneviève (Pierrefonds). This marriage was also not recorded in Tanguay. Moving back another generation the parents of Michel Brunet were François Brunet and Françoise Amable Proulx who were married 14 Nov 1735 at Pointe Claire. This is one of the small errors that I have found in Tanguay; he has the marriage as after 1738 but does not offer a month and day or a place. The parents of François were listed as Thomas Brunet and Catherine Cecire and they married 17 Oct 1701 at Lachine. Pulling up the marriage of Thomas Brunet and Catherine Cecire the parents of Thomas were listed as Pierre Brunet and Marie Bouché. Tanguay has the wife of Pierre Brunet as Marie Catherine Cottin (Fille du Rois). Finding this marriage in Ancestry was quite straightforward. But when I located the baptism of Thomas 19 Feb 1678 at Notre-Dame, Québec the mother was listed as Marie d'Arras but in the margin is written the name Cottin. Why does the marriage of Thomas list his mother as Marie Bouché? I shall investigate that the next time I work on the Brunet family. Pierre was the emigrant and so is Generation 1.

François Brunet married to Françoise Proulx is Generation 3. The present generation is descended from two children of this couple. Michel Brunet married to Geneviève Latour is Generation 4. Françoise Brunet married to Jean Baptiste Blénier 13 Jan 1772 at Ste Geneviève (Pierrefonds) is Generation 4.
François Brunet married to Marie Angélique Bolne is Generation 5
Jean Baptiste Brunet married to Louise Brunet dite Lelang is Generation 6. I will return to this marriage to look at the parents of Louise Brunet dite Lelang.

The parents of Pierre Brunet were Michel Brunet and Marie Magdeleine who married 27 Jul 1729 at Ste Anne de Bellevue (second marriage for Michel). Michel was the son of Michel Brunet and Marie Moisan and they married 7 Oct 1692 at Montréal. Michel was the son of Mathieu Brunet and Marie Blanchard (Fille du Rois) and they married 10 Nov 1667 at Québec. Mathieu Brunet was the emigrant and hence Generation 1.
The present generation is descended from four children of this first generation couple. Michel Brunet married first Marie Moisan and information on Michel their son follows this paragraph. Michel married as his second wife Anne Elisabeth Hémério dite Belair 10 Jul 1713 at Montréal and is Generation 2. Their daughter Marie Josephte Brunet married Noel Boucher 1 Feb 1745 at Pointe Claire and is Generation 3. Marie Anne Brunet dit Letang married Antoine Pilon 20 Jan 1689 at Montréal and is Generation 2. Marie Brunet married François Bigras 31 Aug 1693 at Montréal and is Generation 2. Jean Brunet married Marie Périer 19 Oct 1694 at Lachine and is generation 2. Their son Michel married Marie Madeleine Louise Jammé 22 Jan 1713 at Pointe Claire and is Generation 3. Their daughter Charlotte Brunet married Jacques Beaune 16 Jan 1741 at Pointe Claire and is Generation 4.
Returning to Michel Brunet married to Marie Moisan and their son Michel Brunet married Marie Anne Madeleine dite Ladouceur and is Generation 3.
Their son Pierre Brunet married Marie Rigaud and is Generation 4.

Aubain-Aubin family
Working on the Aubain family at St Benoit, I have Catherine's baptism 26 Sep 1804 at St Benoit and her marriage to Jacques Neveu 11 Aug 1835 also at St Benoit. The marriage registration for this couple shows her parents names and that Jacques Neveu was the widower of Catherine Drouin. Pulling up the marriage of Jacques Neveu and Catherine Drouin 5 Oct 1818 reveals his parents names.
Parents of Jacques Neveu were: Augustin Neveu and Marie Citoleux who were themselves married 6 Jul 1788 at Ste Geneviève.
Parents of Catherine Aubain were: Toussaint Aubain and Céleste Legault dite Delaurier who were themselves married 22 Sep 1794 at St Eustache. Their parents were listed on the marriage lines.
Parents of Toussaint Aubain were: Louis Amable Aubin and Marie Angelique Varrin dite Lapistolle. They were married 8 Jun 1761 at Longueuil. Their parents were listed on the marriage lines (below).
Parents of Céleste Legault dite Delaurier were: François Legault dite Delaurier and Céleste Lapierre dite Birond (sp). I have not yet located their marriage.
Continuing with Toussaint Aubain line, I found his grandparents.
Parents of Louis Amable Aubin were: Réne Aubin and Françoise Bigras who were themselves married 15 Jun 1716 at St Joachim, Pointe-Claire.
Parents of Marie Angélique Varrin dit Lapistolle were: Nicolas Barrin and Marie Suzanne Daunay who were married 7 Jan 1733 at Longueuil.
Looking at the parents of Louis Amable Aubin, I found his grandparents listed on his parents wedding lines.
Parents of Réne Aubin were André Aubin and Marie Nevine who married in France and Réne was also baptized in France.
Parents of Françoise Bigras were: François Bigras and Marie Brunet who were married 31 Aug 1693 at Montréal.
The parents of François Bigras were Mathurin Bigras and Catherine Parenteau who were married in France and did not come to New France.
