Will of Hannah Blake, widow, late of Blandford Forum, Dorset and now at Bath, Somerset - The National Archives PROB 11/1235/252, probated 28 Aug 1793

This rather lengthy ten page will (in the copy books!) was written by Hannah Blake, widow of William Blake whose will was blogged earlier:

Again, all the nieces and nephews of William and Hannah are remembered in Hannah’s will as well. Although Hannah does not mention relationships at the beginning of the will bringing that in later.

William Blake and Hannah Clench were married by licence 25 Nov 1746 at Blandford. They do not appear to have baptized any children. They were married for 47 years. Although Hannah does not mention any relationship between herself and the Clench family to whom she gives legacies, they are perhaps relatives. Some of the other names not mentioned in the will of William are also perhaps her relatives including the Soper family, the Giles family, the Edmunds family and the Vowell family. Hannah has followed her husband’s will and the legacies which he intended for his various nieces and nephews have been expressed in her will.

This family is a known collateral line of Admiral Robert Blake. William Blake was the son of the Reverend Malachi Blake who was in turn the son of the Reverend Malachi Blake, then John Blake of Pitminster, John Blake of Pitminster, William Blake of Over Stowey and Pitminster, John Blake the elder of Over Stowey and then Humphrey Blake of Bishops Lydeard and Over Stowey. John Blake the elder and Robert Blake being siblings and Robert Blake was the grandfather of Admiral Robert Blake.

1    In the Name of God Amen
2    I Hannah Blake of Blandford Forum in the County of
3    Dorset but now residing in the City of Bath in the County of

6    of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding
7    do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and
8    Testament in manner and form following that is to say
9    after all my just debts and Funeral Expences are paid and

49    Cordwainer and Mary his Wife one Annuity of clear yearly
50    sum of Ten pounds each to be paid to them and each of
51    them during the term of their respective natural lives by
52    four equal quarterly payments that is to say on the fifth day
53    of April the twenty fourth day of June the twenty ninth day
54    of September and the twenty first day of December by even and
55    equal portions the first payment thereof to begin and be made
56    on the first quarterly day of payment which shall next happen
57    after my decease and I hereby charge all my Residuary Estate
58    and effects hereinafter given and bequeathed with the payment

60    Children of the said Samuel Soper and Mary his wife the
61    Sum of thirty pounds each to be paid to them and each of
62    them by my Executors hereinafter named immediately after
63    the decease of the Survivor of them the said Samuel Soper
64    and Mary his Wife and in case of the death of either of such
65    Children before their respective Legacies shall become due and
66    payable the Legacy or Legacies of him her or them so dying
67    shall be paid to the Survivors or Survivor of them equally
68    if more than one And if but one then to that one only his

71    and Susannah his wife one Annuity or clear yearly Sum

87    and Susannah his Wife and in case of the death of either

157    City of Bath Gentleman the Sum of Fifty pounds of like
158    money in token of my esteem and Friendship for him which

160    my decease and I also give to my Servant Gabriel Tizzard
161    (if living with me at my death) the Sum of one hundred
162    pounds of like money to be paid in six Months next after
163    my death and to such of my Maid Servants who shall have
164    lived with me twelve Months and who shall be living with
165    me at the time of my death the Sum of ten pounds over
166    and above such wages as shall be then respectively due to
167    them to be paid in one month next after my death and
168    whereas it was my late husband’s wish and intention that
169    all those Messuages and Tenements with the Appurtenances
170    by him purchased of Sarah Baker of Blandford Forum
171    aforesaid Spinster situate and being in Blandford Forum
172    aforesaid called or known by the name or sign of the Blue
173    Anchor should be held and enjoyed by the person or persons
174    who for the time being should hold and enjoy the Messuage
175    dwelling house and premises of my said late husband in
176    which I lately lived And whereas my said late husband
177    hath in and by his last Will and Testament given devised
178    and bequeathed the said Messuage dwelling house and
179    premises in which I lately lived unto the said William Tice
181    to hold to him for the term of his natural life and from
182    and after his decease to the said William Fisher his heirs
183    and assigns for ever and whereas the said Messuages
184    Tenements and premises so purchased of the said Sarah
185    Baker were purchased by my said late husband after he
186    had made his Will and the same being held by him for
187    the remainder of a term of Five hundred years became
188    legally vested in me as Residuary Legatee and sole
189    Executrix named in and by the last Will and Testament of
190    my said husband Now I do hereby in order to carry his
191    wish and intention into effect give devise and bequeath
192    all and singular the said Messuages Tenements Lands
193    and premises so purchased of the said Sarah Baker as
194    aforesaid unto the said William Tice to hold to him and
195    his Assigns for and during so many years of the said term
196    of Five hundred years granted in the said premises as
197    shall run out and expire in the life time of him the said
198    William Tice I give devise and bequeath the said Messuages
199    Tenements Lands and premises unto the said William Fisher
200    his Executors Administrators and Assigns for all the Rest
201    Residue and Remainder of the said term of Five hundred

213    unto the said Malachi Tice my three large Silver Castors
214    that were my late husband’s fathers four Silver Salts and
215    Salt Spoons Silver Fish Slice long Silver Spoon and my
216    late husbands fathers picture Also I give to the said William
217    Tice my Silver Tea Cadee Also I give to Robert Fisher of
218    Blandford Forum aforesaid Postmaster one pair of my best
219    Silver candlesticks and the Case of large Silver handles
220    knives and forks and six Table Spoon thereto belonging
221    and also his late Uncle Clenchs picture and also my own
222    picture and my own and my late husbands Coat of Arms
223    Also I give to the said William Fisher the other pair of my
224    best Silver Candlesticks my Case of small Silver handled knives
225    and Forks and desert Spoons thereto belonging And also my
226    late husbands picture in Gilt Frame Also I give to the said
227    Thomas Fisher my large Silver Butter Cruets and my small
228    Silver Candlesticks Also I give to the said John Tice my
229    large Silver Tankard and I give to my Niece Mrs James of
230    Chard in the County of Somerset my large Silver Cup Also I
231    give to my Niece Mrs Gillibrand of Edmonton in the County
232    of Middlesex my Silver pint two long handled Silver Spoons
233    and four Table Spoons marked on the back with a Dove Also
234    I give to my Niece Mrs Field of Blandford Forum aforesaid
235    my large Silver Salver and my set of Silver Casters Also I
236    give to my Niece Susannah Budden wife of Thomas Budden
237    the younger of Blandford Forum aforesaid Baker my Silver
238    Coffee pot and Stand also my best set of Tea Spoons and Tea
239    Tongs and my Wedding Ring and my Gold Watch And also
240    all such of my household Goods Furniture Utensils and
241    Implements of household as is or are not by me hereinafter
242    given and bequeathed that shall be in my house at
243    Blandford Forum aforesaid or that shall not by me
244    otherwise disposed of in my life time or by any Memorandum
245    Ticket or other means shewing my intention to whom I

247    Budden Son of my said Niece Susannah Budden a
248    Silver Watch that was my late Fathers Also I give and

331    per Cent Consols or the three per Cent Rank Annuities at the
332    option of my Executors Item I do hereby give to my Nephew
333    William Tice my yellow damask Bedstead Bed Bolster pillows
334    Tiebands etc thereto belonging as also the Window Curtains
335    in the same Room or belonging to the same Bed absolutely
336    for his own use I likewise give to my said Nephew William
337    Tice the free use of my Mohagany Book Case in the Best
338    Bedchamber the Iron Chest the Clock in the passage and all
339    the Fixtures of every kind and denomination now in my
340    house at Blandford Forum aforesaid for and during the
341    term of his natural life and from and after his decease to
342    my said Nephew William Fisher together with the said house
343    as specified in my late husbands will and I direct the Sum
344    of ten pounds to be distributed in bread amongst the poor of
345    Blandford Forum aforesaid on the first Christmas day that
346    shall next happen after my decease under the direction of
347    Mr Thomas Budden the younger of Blandford Forum aforesaid

358    virtue of their several Corporal Oaths deposed as follows
359    and first the said Charles Gunning deposed that he was
360    employed by Hannah Blake Testator of Bath widow lately now
361    deceased in ordering and preparing for the said deceased her
362    last Will and Testament hereunto annexed bearing date the
363    tenth day of May one thousand seven hundred and ninety
364    three that the deponent Charles Gunning attended the said
365    deceased on the said tenth day of May one thousand seven
366    Hundred and ninety three with the said will fairly expressed
367    which amongst other things then contained a Legacy or
368    bequest of five hundred pounds to Ann White of Walthamstow
369    in the County of Essex Spinster Sister of William Wood White of
370    the same place and also a Legacy or bequest of two hundred
371    pounds to John Clench of Bridport in the County of Dorset
372    Sadler which two Legacies or bequests were inserted in this

374    said deceased to Charles Gunning That the deponent Charles

376    deceased audibly and distinctly and she expressed herself

379    Gunning to alter from five hundred pounds to one thousand

381    Ann White had long paid to her and particularly in her
382    illness of which the said deceased then expressed a sense of
383    high obligation that in consequence of such direction from
384    the said deceased that this deponent Charles Gunning set about
385    making the desired alteration in the said Ann Whites
386    Legacy and made an erasure in the seventeenth line from the
387    top of the first sheet of the said Will upon which erasure he
388    then wrote the words one thousand meaning and apprehending
389    that he had thereby increased the said Legacy to the said Ann
390    White after which the deponent Charles Gunning wrote the
391    following words in the Clause of Attestation for the Witnesses
392    on the last Sheet of the said Will to wit the words one thousand
393    in the Legacy to Miss White being first wrote on an Erazure
394    and then the said deceased duly executed the said will in the
395    presence of the deponent Charles Gunning and the other
396    subscribing Witnesses whose names appear thereto namely
397    Robert Norkett and the said deponent Walter Smith and at
398    the time of executing the same the deponent Charles Gunning
399    is certain from the circumstances hereinbefore deposed that
400    the said deceased believed as he himself did that the said
401    Legacy of Five hundred pounds originally inserted therein
402    to the aforesaid Ann White had been erased and altered
403    into a Legacy of one thousand pounds and the said depon[en]t
404    Walter Smith deposed that he believed the same for that the
405    said deponent Charles Gunning showed to him the said
406    Deponent Walter Smith the said Erazure and alteration prior

413    She having expressed no wish or intention to increase or alter
414    the Legacy to him and that it was with a firm belief and
415    persuasion of the Will being altered by an increase of the
416    said Ann Whites Legacy and not otherwise that she was
417    satisfied therewith And the deponent Charles Gunning further
418    saith that immediately after the will was executed it was
419    Sealed up by the deponent Charles Gunning and remained
420    Sealed up until after the said deceaseds death at which time
421    and not before it was discovered by the deponent Charles Gunning
422    that he had inadvertently made the Erazure and alteration
423    in the Clause respecting the said John Clench’s Legacy instead
424    of that to the said Ann White which the deceased designed and
425    ordered to be altered for it doth now appear that the words
426    two hundred have been erased in the seventeenth line instead
427    of the words Five hundred in the next preceding line and
428    that the words one thousand have been inserted on such
429    Erazure instead of being inserted in the sixteenth line in the
430    stead of the said words of five hundred which should have
431    been there erased and in confirmation and illustration of
432    what he so deposed relative to the state of the Legacies to the
433    said Ann White and John Clench as originally inserted in the
434    said Will before any erasure or alteration took place the
435    deponent Charles Gunning doth annex hereunto a form or
436    cancelled will of the said deceased in which prior to the
437    making her last Will the deponent Charles Gunning made
438    such alterations and additions as she wished to be made
439    converting the said cancelled Will in a draught for her
440    Will and the said deponents Charles Gunning and Walter
441    Smith further depose solemnly that the said last Will of the
442    said deceased dated the tenth day of May one thousand
443    seven hundred and ninety three was transcribed and fairly
444    copied from the said cancelled Will not hereunto annexed
445    and that the Legacy inserted in the aforesaid seventeenth line
446    of the first sheet of the said Will as a bequest to the said John

Blake family of Somerset, Dorset and Devon

There are difficulties with some of the connections which I have managed to correct but I need to find proper citations so will not publish the descendants of Humphrey Blake until I have verified all that material. However, I will add some of the interesting links that have become apparent from the wills I have just completed in Dorset.

It is great to see people working on the Blake family but the author of this webpage does mention that she has used printed material for parts of her work knowing that there was some doubt to their accuracy. I wish that people would only publish what they know to be accurate! Her particular website has been quoted a number of times on public trees on Ancestry and with only her website as a source.

My aim in looking at her material was to see if the bulk of it was useful to Blake researchers. I think that a cursory glance at it if you descend from Somerset lines does give you some information on the descendants of Humphrey Blake who died and was buried at Over Stowey, Somerset. It can be somewhat helpful but I would check every link for yourself. Since I still have the Somerset wills to do I will only relate the relationships between Malachi Blake of Blandford Forum, William Blake of Crewkerne and their mutual ancestor Humphrey Blake of Over Stowey. When I have completed the Somerset Wills then I will publish the descendants of Humphrey Blake as I believe them to be using the parish records and the wills to link the families. I will eliminate all lines coming down for which I do not have data either from Martin Southwoods excellent site for Somerset parish registers (http://www.wsom.org.uk/Parreg.html) or my own fiche of Somerset Parish Records. The Dorset Parish Records are now on Ancestry.

and that file now has a number of items marked in red which I have not yet placed. I can see that I should perhaps do the Somerset wills out of order as there are fifty seven of them plus the short abstracts of wills that are now missing since the WWII bombing of the Exeter Record Office. I believe I shall leave Durham wills for the moment (Sir Francis Blake) and proceed to work on the Somerset Wills.

I am part of a panel at the BIFHSGO Conference next week here thankfully so will spend some time this week looking at that just to be sure I am ready. I will be talking about my Blake one name Study and the value of the Guild of one name studies in my research.

I will wait until I have done the Somerset wills and updated the parish record references in the Legacy File from the website for Admiral Blake before publishing the connections between the different Blake families in Dorset, Somerset and it appears I have found a North Devon connection as well.

234    Survivorship shall be applicable for and towards the

249    and shall pay the Interest thereof to my Niece
250    Mary James the wife of Robert James of Chard in
251    the County of Somerset Apothecary into her own
252    hands during the term of her natural life for her

256    after taken husband and that her receipts alone Signed

358    of Protestant Dissenters of the Presbyterian denomination
359    now assembling for Religious Worship at Blandford

361    of lawful money of Great Britain upon trust to be
362    by them and their successors for the time being
363    placed and continued out at Interest in their own names
364    or in the name or names of such person or persons as they
365    shall think fit in the publick Funds or Government
366    Securities or otherwise employ and improve the same in

370    unto the Minister for the time being of the same
371    Society or Congregation forever or for so long a time
372    as the said Society or Congregation shall continue to

375    house Maid Mary Symms the Sum of Fifteen

450    the said Malachi Tice lawfully begotten forever And
    I give and devise the same unto my Nephew William Tice his heirs and Assigns for ever Also

453    all that my Leasehold Estate situate lying and
454    being at Hammoon in the County of Dorset Consisting
455    entirely of Land which is now in the possession of

457    the appurtenances To hold to him my said
458    Nephew Robert Fisher for and during the term of
459    his natural life and from and immediately after
460    his death I give and devise the same unto his second
461    Son William Fisher his Executors Administrators and
462    assigns for such Estate term or Interest as I shall
463    have therein at the time of my death in case he
464    shall Survive his Father but in case he shall die
465    before his Father and shall leave Issue of his body
466    lawfully begotten then I give and bequeath the same
467    to such Issue to be taken and Enjoyed by them in
468    like manner and for such Estate and Interest as if
469    the same had descended from their said Father the
470    said William Fisher but in case the said William
471    Fisher shall die in the lifetime of his Father the
472    said Robert Fisher and shall leave no Issue of his
473    body lawfully begotten then and in either of the said cases
474    so happening I give devise and bequeath the said
475    last mentioned Estate unto such other of the
476    Children of the said Robert Fisher by his late Wife
477    Ann Fisher as he the said Robert Fisher shall by
478    any deed in writing executed in the presence of and
479    attested by two Witnesses

481    in the presence of and attested by the like Number
482    of Witnesses shall nominate direct or appoint to take

484    Estate or Estates as he the said Robert Fisher shall

499    chargeable with the payment of the Rent Charges
500    charged upon and made payable out of the same
501    premises to my Sisters in and by the last Will
502    and Testament of my Father Malachi Blake
503    deceased Also I give and bequeath to my said Nephew
504    William Tice and to my Nephew William Fisher
505    all those my two Messuages or Tenements situate
506    at Woodbury Hill in the County of Dorset with the
507    appurtenances thereunto respectively belonging to
508    hold to them my said Nephews William Tice and

521    and except the Orchard Garden and Woodhouse now

526    used by me and after her decease then I give the
527    said Messuages or Tenements called the White
528    Hart House and the said Orchard Garden Wood
529    House and premises to my said Nephew William

533    Fisher are now Engaged as partners shall

549    William Fisher who shall keep the same in
550    repair And I do hereby direct that all and

758    natural life with remainder to the Reverend Mr
759    William Gellibrand Son of The Reverend Mr Joseph

761    ever And I do hereby declare my Will and meaning
762    to be that in case the said Samuel Tice shall
763    die leaving any Issue as aforesaid then and in
764    such case the said Sarah Tice if she shall be

768    interested in the premises for the time being as
769    aforesaid until such Issue shall attain the age

798    lawful money of Great Britain upon the trusts
799    following that is to say In trust for my great Nephews
800    snd Nieces Thomas Fisher William Fisher Robert
801    Fisher Ann Fisher and Sarah Fisher the Sons and daughters
802    of my Nephew Robert Fisher as and when he she
803    or they shall attain his or her age or their respective
804    ages of twenty one years equally to be divided
805    between or amongst them (if more than one) share
806    and share alike his her and their several and
807    respective Executors Administrators and Assigns
808    and in case only one of them my said Great
809    Nephews and Nieces Thomas Fisher William Fisher
810    Robert Fisher Ann Fisher and Sarah Fisher shall
811    live to attain his or her said age of Twenty One years
812    in trust for such one of them only when and as
813    he or she shall attain his or her said Age
814    of Twenty one years his or her Executors Adm[inistrat]ors
815    and assigns and in the mean time and until
816    my said Great Nephews and Nieces shall severally
817    attain his her and their respective Age or ages of
818    twenty one years as aforesaid the Interest dividends
819    profits and proceeds of the said Sum of Two thousand
820    pounds shall be paid and applied by my said
821    Trustees and the Survivor or Survivors of them and the Executors
822    Administrators and assigns of such Survivor for and
823    towards the Maintenance Education or other use
824    and benefit of them my said Great Nephews and
825    Nieces respectively who shall or may be intitled
826    thereto by virtue of this my Codicil (having regard
827    to the Quantum or value of what they will be
828    respectively entitled to under this my Codicil and in
829    case all of them my said Great Nephews and
830    Nieces shall happen to die before he she or they
831    shall have attained his her or their said age or
832    ages of twenty one years as aforesaid then In
833    trust for my two Nephews William Fisher and
834    Thomas Fisher and my Niece Susannah Button
835    equally to be divided between or amongst them share
836    And share alike his her and their several and
837    Respective Executors Administrators and Assigns and to
838    ror and upon no other trust end intent or purpose
839    whatsoever And I do hereby will direct and require my
840    said Trustees and the Survivors or Survivor of them
841    and the Executors Administrators and Assigns of such
842    Survivor in the mean time and until my said
843    Great Nephews and Nieces shall attain his her and their

845    to place out and continue in their or his or her
846    own names or name the said Sum of two
847    thousand pounds at Interest upon Freehold or Leasehold
848    Messuages Lands Tenements and heredit[ament]s in that

850    Mortgage or upon Government Funds Stocks or Securities
851    in or upon all or any of these Securities as they
852    he or she shall see fit And I do hereby enable
853    and authorize my said Trustees and the Survivors
854    or Survivor of them and the Executors Adm[inistrat]ors and
855    assigns of such Survivor to call in and compel
856    payment of all or any part of the said Sum
857    of Two thousand pounds that may be so placed
858    out at Interest or to
859    charge or alter the Stocks Funds or Securities wherein
860    the same or any part thereof shall be from time
861    to time placed or invested and to place and lay
862    out the same again in their his or her own
863    names or name on other Freehold or Leasehold
864    Messuages Lands Tenements and hereditaments in
865    that part of Great Britain called England by way
866    of Mortgage or in or upon all or any one of the
867    Securities aforesaid as they or he shall see fit and so
868    from time to time to act and do during the
869    continuance of the several trusts aforesaid And I do
870    hereby declare that they my said Trustees their
871    Executors Administrators or assigns or any of them
871    shall not be answerable for or liable to make
873    good any Casual or involuntary loss which shall
874    or may happen to all or any part or parts of the
875    said trust monies the same happening without
876    his her or their wilful default nor for any more
877    thereof than what shall fairly and honestly come
878    to them or in any of their hands nor shall the
879    one of them be answerable for the other or others
880    of them but each of them for his own Acts deeds
881    and wilful defaults only their joining in Receipts
882    for conformity sake notwithstanding and that it
883    shall and may be lawfull to and for my said
884    Trustees and each and every of them by and out
885    of the said trust Monies to deduct detain and
886    reimburse themselves himself and herself all such
887    sosts charges and expences whatsoever which they
888    or any or either of them shall or may pay
889    bear suffer sustain expend or be put unto for or
890    by reason of the trusts in them reposed or the
891    management or Execution thereof or in any
892    rhing any way incident or relating thereto and
893    shall from time to time by and out of the solid
894    Trust monies be well and sufficient saved kept
895    harmless and indemnified of from and against

913    of Blandford Forum in the County of Dorset Esquire First
914    I hereby confirm my last Will and Testament bearing
915    date on or about the twenty second day of June

917    foregoing Codicil thereto in every respect except only
918    in such particulars as I shall add to or alter my said
919    Will and former Codicil or either of them by this
920    Codicil and Whereas by my said Will I have given
921    and bequeathed after the decease of my dear Wife
922    Hannah Blake the Sum of Sixteen thousand pounds
923    unto all my own Nephews and Nieces that shall
924    be living at the time of her decease equally to
925    be divided between them share and share alike Now
926    I do hereby declare that the persons intended to take
927    by the said description of my own Nephews and Nieces
928    are the Children of my Sister Mrs Mary Tice deceased
929    and the children of my Sister Mrs Sarah Fisher and
930    whereas by a proviso or Clause contained in my said
931    Will I did direct that in case any or either of my
932    Nephews or Nieces should happen to die in my life
933    time or before such time as my said Nephews and
934    Nieces were to be entitled to receive the Legacies therein
935    before given them leaving one or more Child or
936    Children lawfully begotten that then and in such Case
937    such Child or Children should be intitled such share or Sum of money as his her or their Father or Mother would have been entitled unto if then
938    living such shares to be paid at the times and the
939    Interest and dividends in the meantime as applies in
940    manner therein mentioned and Whereas by virtue of
941    the said Clause or proviso last mentioned Thomas
942    Gillebrand the son of The Reverend Joseph Gillebrand
943    of Edmonton in the County of Middlesex by my Niece
944    his Wife who is one of the daughters of my Sister
945    Tice might in the Event of his Mothers death as

946    aforesaid become intitled to some part of parts or
947    the whole of the share of his Mother my said Niece
948    last mentioned But as that would now be contrary
949    to my Will and intention I do hereby declare and direct
950    that the said Thomas Gellibrand shall be totally
951    excluded from having or claiming any benefit
952    interest in the said Sum of Sixteen thousand pounds
953    or any part thereof under and by virtue of my
954    my said Will on the event of his Mothers dying
955    as mentioned in my said Will and I declare and
956    direct that the other Children or Child of my said
957    Niece Mrs Gillebrand shall alone and exclusive of
958    the said Thomas Gillebrand have and enjoy the
959    benefit and advantage of the said proviso or clause
960    above recited in case of my said Niece Mrs Gillebrand
961    dying as aforesaid also I give and bequeath to
962    William Tice Son of my Nephew Benjamin Tice and Malachi
963    Fisher son of my Nephew William Fisher and to
964    Thomas Fisher Son of my Nephew Thomas Fisher
965    and also to William Budden Son of my Nephew
966    Thomas Budden the Sum one hundred pounds
967    three pounds per cent Consolidated Bank Annuities
968    each but if any of them the said William Tice
969    Malachi Fisher Thomas Fisher and William
970    Budden the Legatees last named shall happen to
971    die before they shall respectively attain the age of
972    twenty one years then it is my desire that the
973    said Legacy of One hundred pounds hereby given
974    to him or them so dying shall come and be
975    paid to his Brother or Sister who shall live first
976    to attain the age of Twenty One years And I
977    declare and direct that in the mean time and
978    until they the said William Tice and Malachi
979    Fisher Thomas Fisher and William Budden the
980    Legatees last named shall respectively attain the
981    age of twenty one years the Interest and dividends
982    of their said Legacies shall be paid to their respective
983    parents or shall be retained by the Trustees
984    named in my said Will and be by them paid or
985    applied for the use benefit and advantage of the
986    said respective Legatees last named Also I give
987    and bequeath to my Servant Gabriel Tizzard in
988    case he shall be living with me at the time of
989    my death the Sum of Seventy pounds in
990    addition to what he would in that case be
991    intitled to under and by virtue of my said Will
992    Intestimony whereof I have to this Codicil contained in this
993    sheet and part of the preceeding sheet of paper
