Coming up on mid August this long heat spell continues and is unusual this time of year as the days shorten and fall is just another month plus away. Not a good sign; global warming is significantly increased this year. Canada suffers along with the other polar countries from global warming more than other areas nearer the equator although I suspect they are rather warm these days. Still avoiding the news and probably will for the rest of August. Must get some work done; The Pincombe-Pinkham newsletter indeed is begun but the Newsletter that is due is the H11 Newsletter and I will likely get that produced today. The Pincombe is due the 1st of September.
Completed the cleaning yesterday and now into the work week. It would be nice to do some work outside but really too hot to do that and it is meant to rain which would be good; Canada can use all the rain that we can get to help put out the wildfires. We are a heavily forested country below the tree line right to the border with the United States.
Still sad that our usual trade no longer works but it is also nice to trade around the world and share the products of other countries as we share ours. That is really what trade was meant to be as the early explorers took the treasures of their country around the world and collected up all the goodies that were available in other parts of the world. We were meant to keep our industries intact and that will now happen as we reinvent all those industries lost to free trade and create an energy grid across Canada to serve those industries. The barriers between the provinces receding quickly out of necessity as we trade back and forth between our provincial/territorial neighbours all the way to the Pacific to the Atlantic and to the Arctic Oceans. This is a huge land mass.
Not much work done on the matches yesterday as I contemplated the next Newsletter. That was the all day cleaning day so pretty much that was my accomplishment.
Drinking tea and doing solitaire puzzles.
