Day two in 2025

It is amazing that it is 2025; it seems like a very long time ago now that I was a young child (late 1940s). Personally I would never want to live those years again. The newsreels were so frightening and sad and it was a world full of gloom as we remember the dead from the Second World War and the First World War. Cheerfulness did not seem to be part of our growing up years as we descended into the Cold War which Russia created because they did not give up the countries that they invaded when they were pushing the Nazis back out of Eastern Europe. Stalin agreed that these countries would be free; but freedom was not theirs at the end of the Second World War. These people did not get to be free until the 1990s - it was a long war for them. Then of course Russia is at it again trying to take over countries that had finally found freedom in the 1990s (when we see support for Putin in Europe is it the Stockholm Syndrome - I wonder about that with the Russians having been the overlords for over 30 years). What kind of people are the Russians that they would let these psychopathic Nazis Putin and his enablers herd them off to war and death. They are burying their sons in great numbers - it is hard to understand really. Freedom rang in Russia for just a couple of years and then they did not resist Putin and his smiles (reminiscent of Hitler in Germany) but for Russia there is no understanding for the Cold War that they inflicted on the world. Russia did not suffer after the First World War or the Second World War any more than anyone else. Especially one now realizes that had Hitler not attacked Russia, Russia would have continued to hold Poland and the Polish people as their slaves much as Hitler did in Europe (they did after all divide Poland in 1940). The outcome of the war would not have changed however I am convinced. With the United States into the war after 1941 it was a foregone conclusion that victory was there but it would be difficult which it was anyway. China would have fought Russia in World War II after all they were invaded by a Nazi Japanese Empire. It is surprising in a way to see China allow Russia to continue this war that is upsetting Asia (Russia shot down a civilian aircraft killing dozens of people). Plus we would not have supplied Russia with arms to attack the Nazi forces on their border since they were bound by a treaty to divide Poland and could and would have suffered the same fate as the Nazis. But one cannot change history and we were so kind as to help Russia defeat the Nazis in their country. I do not take credit from the Russian soldiers for their hard won battles; they did great and we all were happy to see the end of the war including the people of Germany who sadly learned that hard lesson when one permits an egotistical psychotic maniac to run one's country.

Democracy can clean away those who cling to power by any means. The King answers to Parliament not Parliament to the King in our case. The King gives advice and the advice is good but Parliament rules the day. I did not like it when PM Harper went to the Governor General of the time to prorogue Parliament; it should not have happened. We do not want a repeat of that and the vote in 2015 against the Conservative Party was part of that. When Parliament returns on the 27th of January then if there is a vote of non-confidence and it is lost by the Liberal government then we go to an election. It is actually a good time for an election and it would be interesting to have a referendum to see how much interest there actually is in pursuing union with the United States as 13 provinces/territories coming together with the 50 States to the south of us (and north - Alaska)/ that would be 13 new states (63 states would be really something). I love Canada but I can see good reasons to be one formidable country north of Mexico protecting our water borders from any and all who threaten us. We can do it as two countries when we get a government that properly supplies the military and maintains our defensive ability at the same high level as the Americans. Being a welfare state is not as important or even good I would suggest as being a well defended state! Loading a huge burden of debt on our youth is just wrong.

On to the day. Pincombe-Pinkham Newsletter published and Blake Newsletter is in preparation.

I will post again the information for the Companion Charting Book for the Siderfin Family of West Somerset:

http://www.kipp-blake-families.ca/Companion Charting Book with notes for The Siderfin Family of West Somerset - Elizabeth Kipp 4600.pdf

Paste this line into your browser or

Go to my website:

http://www.kipp-blake-families.ca/elizabethmain.htm

and select from the list of 3x great grandparents: SIDERFIN and go to the bottom of that section where the two books are listed.

I will check for comments for a few days on the blog; I generally forget and then discover them perhaps six months later. You can just email me with a comment - kippeeb@rogers.com. That is definitely quicker as I do read (or delete) all of my emails every day. I delete them if they are junk. I generally read everything though just in case it isn't junk as titles can be misleading.

Sad news from New Orleans, prayers for the dead (now over a dozen) and those many people injured and still possibly fighting for their lives in the hospital and why do terrorists exist really? They are sort of like rabid foxes that need to be destroyed immediately in order not to harm the rest of their population or ours. If they were human they would not have done what they did in Israel to babies, children, old and young men and women. They are sick dogs or rabid foxes however you want to see them; their human qualities do not exist because they sacrifice anyone for their supposed cause. I do not pray for the death of anyone; but it does mean life for those who have managed to escape the path of destruction that terrorists create (three attacks at least on New Years Day in the United States - prayers for all).
