A beautiful Monday although just 9 degrees celsius as Fall approaches much more rapidly. The sun though is the big story with a weather warning that temperatures will drop towards the end of the week. So we will see as we are predicted to have a more difficult winter than the last which would be great if it means lots more snow. The skiing has been dreadful the last couple of years.
Church was back to normal with a full choir and all the priests were in house. The sermon quite interesting actually and the cathedral had a good attendance. I also went to Dudley in England for their service which I quite enjoyed. It is really a treat to have two services on Sunday but one could have more and sometimes I admit it is tempting but I try to accomplish too much in the day to do that mostly.
Continuing with the matches and I am down to 76 and yesterday saw me about 2/3rds through the Ms. Today probably not too many as it is cleaning day. I need to organize all those picture binders to get them out of my way so that I can clean. But now I know what I am doing. I shall begin with the oldest binder now and start to move pictures into the newer binders and organize that viewing index. They will begin with 1965 pictures. Although as I write this I wonder should I put in the existing pictures of Edward at the very beginning. That means I have to find them although the number of boxes is considerably smaller these days. But I think that everyone would enjoy having those pictures right at the beginning. It is a good thought and I shall pursue it.
I think once again I shall avoid the news until the House of Commons returns. At 80 years of age my voice has little range and I have no effect on how events move nor did I ever but much less so at 80. I have my thoughts which I share online partly because this is my diary which I never did before I started the blog. But now it has become part of my being that I write down the events of yesterday and the thoughts for today on a pretty much daily basis. Do I reread them; only occasionally but generally just within the day or two. Probably 90% of my posts have dealt with my forays into genealogy and DNA in particular and gradually I think they will return to that but life has moved in a way that I am very conscious of what is happening in this world and I feel impelled to share those thoughts on occasion.
So today is cleaning and it is the top floor. I need to organize the picture binders now that I have a path established as I was in a quandary until a solution appeared. Yesterday I accomplished the clothes washing with just two blankets left to wash and will get that done next weekend. I used a lot of different items for the dogs when they visited.
Tea being drank, solitaire puzzles are next and then Yoga and breakfast before cleaning.
