Very Important as renewals come up for investments

We must, us old people, invest our surplus  money in Canada, if any, to make sure that there is plenty of money available as we gear up to increase our productivity, our trade both internal and external. Huge investments in items like ports, pipelines, etc need capital in the private sector especially as well as the public to a certain extent but it is most important to have in the private lots of liquidity by investing in Canadian enterprises in particular. The House goes back in soon and we will see what is suggested as projects that will give us the greatest in private investment to help carry them along. I do like the idea of Port Churchill being refurbished (although I also supported the idea of a new port). But two ports are also not a bad idea given the potential for the amount of business that could go through those ports. Wab Kinew has some really good ideas going and what I really think is marvelous with the First Nations is they do not think in terms of a four year government cycle; they look far into the future for what will give us the best case scenario! Thank you First Nations for opening our minds to possibilities in particular LNG shipments, and there are also oil pipelines, new ports in the planning. I love it.

It may not seem like a lot of money but there are a lot of old people and together we can help build Canada Strong for the children to come.  I do support Prime Minister Carney but I also said at the time of the election that both leaders of the two parties offered a lot to Canada but he is a banker first and foremost and he knows Canada in and out after being Governor of the Bank of Canada. He knows lots of people around the world because he was Governor of the Bank of England. I just want to hear in the House of Commons support for all these projects. I do realize there are some items that need to be dealt with but I do not want to see Question Period absorbed in argument; what I want to hear is the ring of the gavel as we approve project after project to get this country moving once again like it did when I was a child with businesses all over the place making everything that we needed but I have no problem with trade. The more trade we have around the world the less we can be economically injured by tariff. The steel makers said they can supply 80% of all steel imported into this country; lets help them refit so that they are 100% and we just need more because we can not produce more in a timely fashion. That would be such a good state to be in. Lots of trade but lots of production at home. Go Canada Go.

Sunday, another beautiful Sunday, in God's world. Stephen Hawking years ago laid forth the premise that everything came from nothing. That is basically what the Bible tells us in Genesis in simple language. That God created the world from nothing. It was a beautiful moment when physics and religion walked together as Stephen Hawking spoke. The universe is a powerhouse that surrounds us but we need to cure the earth because we have undermined its ability to regenerate and maintain its waters/its lands/its air. Time to think on that as we move towards a more efficient Canada looking for the path that helps us and helps the land.

Church and looking forward to that as always. The fall is coming; this morning it is 12 degrees celsius at 6:30 a.m. I am thinking that this week coming will see me put some time into the outside finally. There are lawns to cut and weeds to pull and some chopping out here and there.

The picture books are now organized in my mind and there will be a lot of shredding. It was always going to be the best way but I thought I should try to see if there was an appropriate place to put Edward's work on the trips. He enjoyed doing them so very much. But the electronic/film files still remain intact and viewable.

The matches moving along and I am now at 82 matches to integrate into my files. Some of them have been very good and one interesting dilemma with a good length actually on chromosome 9 (35 cM) continues to elude me somewhat but I have made note of it all and time will show the answer I am sure. I do know which of the four grandparents is on each length in that chromosome but some of the matches seem different for one sibling. It is very much possible that this is a smashed together portion created by endogamy where the family lines coming down have created a false length when in reality it is two different ancestral lines from the same family line likely Knight-Butt-Arnold.

Dinner last night was once again salmon (this time a piece of frozen salmon), boiled potatoes in their skins and fresh broccoli blanched for a few minutes. A lovely fall meal for sure and all Canadian. Soon our food will be imported to a certain extent although myself I use a lot of stored vegetables as we do that here because we are a polar nation.

Good exercise yesterday and today it is weight lifting, yoga and running along with my two sets of yoga in the morning to wake me up and whilst I prepare breakfast. I am still above target as my fitbit and it tells me to slow down or continue to increase fitness. How long will I use a fitbit; no idea on that but I have used one for quite a while having had one of the early creations years ago now. The buzz that gets you to walk every hour for a minimum of 250 steps is much appreciated as I could sit for hours without that reminder. Time passes quickly when you are immersed in your work.

Working on the solitaire puzzles and drinking tea.
