I agree with the thoughts on this flu

This is a good flu to avoid for sure; it lingers just a little when you try to go back to your usual busy routine. But I rested yesterday and feel great today. I did work away on the matches and completed Chromosome 5 and set up Chromosome 4 for the matches. I will work at that today. There are just 85 matches  on this chromosome with a fair number of Blake cousins, a number of Pincombe cousins, one Rawlings and as it turns out no Buller cousins. The entry was on the wrong chromosome so corrected that and moving forward. That is part of the purpose of this exercise to go through all these matches and remove the ones that are too small or just do not seem to be quite right. They are recorded on DNA Painter and in my excel file for the matches so will appear if ever I glance at my various charts and one hopes that my brain will recall that they were moved to the "too small" folder.

There are 19 crossovers but this is an interesting chromosome in that many of the matches have four siblings matching Pincombe and one matching Buller which surprisingly is not me. Generally I am the one who is different but not in this particular case. There are a number of times when two siblings match in a particular area and again this is Pincombe and the three others are matching elsewise. The Blake matches tend to be everyone matching as they are often quite large given the endogamy in the Knight lines. So an interesting day ahead working on this chromosome.

Good news yesterday for the seven projects and Ontario has one which was great news I have been waiting and waiting for that Nickel mine. When we went up to Moosonee in 2012 already they were talking about this mine and it is thirteen years later.  That really is a marvelous not to be missed trip into Northern Ontario. The Ecolodge on the Island was marvelous. We asked about walking about on the island and most kindly they identified a good route for us and we were off. Then the trip up the Moosonee River to James Bay was a perfect day to be on the water and as we skimmed along we saw a white wolf along the side. We saw a lot of birds as well but the trip itself was memorable and a great experience.

So we are moving ahead and I think I can sense the onward pace now as Canada comes to its greatness that was in the hearts and minds of the Fathers of Confederation. They dreamed of a Canada from sea to sea to sea booming with industry and farming - this is a great beautiful country. It still remains the youth who will carry us forward on this path. Their ability to switch about as my husband did moving from PhD Scientist to MLS Librarian at the age of 30 even with eight years of study under his belt as a Chemist plus two years as an Engineering Scientist with a Postdoc. One has to go where the work is and intellect is never lost just reworked to suit the work that needs to be done.

First breakfast accomplished; still working on gaining weight and my tea ready to drink. Solitaire puzzles are next.
