We are in "Elbows up" with these projects; that is really where we have moved to. The work is going to be hard and the cost huge but we can do it. Just roll up our sleeves, economize and good fortune will be there for the generations to come. So "Elbows up" everybody and together we will bring Canada to the greatness that is within.
It was members of the First Nations here in Ontario that told us about the mine and the jobs and the problems that they were encountering getting it going and this was during the Harper government era. They needed a road and they needed a railway to go along with it and here we are in 2025 with all the promises and full speed ahead. Finally and at last. The jobs were so wanted then and I do understand the concern about the environment but we can do better; knowledge has moved along and the wisdom of science finds a way to get around some of those difficulties and as we get better at it so will the get arounds.
This is a great project for Ontario even if it has been on the books; this is jump starting it finally and yes we need someone to tell us that these projects are happening. By the luck of the draw the Liberals have won the election and now we all have to be behind them to bring Canada to the greatest she is capable of in this world. We are a leader; not a follower but we can still have external funding. Why not; profits are there to be made and we need investment. I have little patience with those who cling to a past that didn't work for us anymore. Big changes are needed and here they come. I am liking the Prime Minister better and better. He isn't a one man show; everybody is in for all of this and he is a great manager.
Shopping all done for another week and it is an interesting path that I follow. I must first blow up the tire because it leaks air out slowly. Once the winter tires are on this doesn't seem to happen but we will see as they will go on in a couple of weeks as I had to move my appointment due to my recovery from flu. Hopefully all the people in a rush will have theirs on and my appointment will still happen. Although once my daughter is here it doesn't matter she will take it in. Back in the garage and when I bring it out next time; blow up the tire (it loses about 8 pounds pressure in a couple of weeks). I said to the technician at the garage; why don't we just put on four new tires. He said these tires have thousands of kilometres on them (the Dodge caravan is six years old and has 32,000 kilometres) and that is true. It only takes me maybe five minutes to pump up the tire with the wonderful gadget. If my husband was still alive it would have 90,000 kilometres or more on it if we still owned it as he traded cars in every three years.
Second breakfast eaten and settling in to do some matches. Salmon for dinner (protein for health for sure; I am not really much of a meat eater). The last of the left over chicken stew for lunch with toast. I do love bread.
