It is literally years since I had the flu but yesterday I did have the flu and it was dreadful. It lasted all day and all night pretty much with my feeling somewhat better as the morning moves along. I have actually slept quite a bit of the morning away. I decided I had to do a load of washing at 7 and threw it in the dryer (I did feel well enough to do that which amazed me). Now as one approaches noon I have had a piece of toast and lemon-ginger tea is cooling. Perhaps tomorrow I will feel more like myself but today I am still somewhat tired. One tends to think of flu as belonging to your younger days but at 80 I had a bout of flu. My flu shot is soon and one does wonder if I should have done that sooner. I mostly always do it in early November and then COVID mid November two weeks later.
Needless to say I did not accomplish very much yesterday but perhaps today. Time will tell. The Liberals have one more sure vote for the Budget which was great news. I did hear that. This is a brave generational budget to increase our own output and bring back lost industries. I suppose I should think sadly of the Car Companies but the answer was there; Incorporate here and be separate so that there are no problems with the tariff. But companies do always look at their profit line and with tariff their industry is now much more protected in the United States. Perhaps CUSMA will have further protections; no ideas on that.
A little work on Chromosome 6 today; 130 matches is a lot of data to go through. Mostly in my cleaning up I am eliminating perhaps 5 or so of the matches although they are still in the folder; just under their own folder "too small."
Time to drink tea and move on to the day.
